Gus Murray

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Gus brings over 13 years of comprehensive construction management expertise spanning both public and private sector delivery of large‑scale industrial projects. He began his career serving five years as a Construction Manager for the United States Navy, where he successfully delivered diverse infrastructure projects including runway renovations and upgrades at Naval Air Station Patuxent River—home to NAVAIR headquarters and the U.S. Navy’s Test Pilot School—as well as Energy Savings Performance Contracts that enhanced operational efficiency and reduced utility consumption across Navy and Marine Corps installations.

Over the past eight years at Amazon, Gus has held progressively senior execution and leadership roles, delivering projects ranging from $1M to $400M in value. His Amazon portfolio encompasses more than 180 projects totalling 75 million square feet and $3.8 billion in work‑in‑place of light industrial space, directly enabling critical network capacity to meet customer demand. Most recently, Gus served four years as a Regional Construction Manager leading large‑scale teams before transitioning to lead Amazon’s Pre‑Construction team for North America, where he has driven strategic planning, risk mitigation, and design optimization across the continent’s entire construction pipeline.

Gus lives in Signal Mountain, Tennessee with his wife, Allison, and three children, Mills, Woodrow, and Josephine. Gus is a graduate of the University of Kentucky’s Pigman College of Engineering (BSCE ‘13) and a Masters of Business Administration from Oklahoma State University.

John Baldwin

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

John brings over 15 years of diverse construction and business development expertise spanning general contracting, technology services expansion, and global project delivery. He began his career spending six years in the contracting industry as a Project Manager, where he honed his skills in project execution and stakeholder coordination. Over the past nine years at Amazon, John has demonstrated versatility across multiple high‑impact roles.

He initially spent four years with Engineering Services leading infrastructure project delivery across global markets including NA, APAC, LATAM, and MENA. His Amazon portfolio consists of $6.2 billion in CAPEX across 100+ projects accounting for nearly 65 million square feet of light industrial capacity. John spent two years heading Amazon Web Services (AWS) Warehouse Automation, facilitating the strategic expansion and adoption of cloud services to enterprise customers worldwide, and co‑authored the Warehouse Automation Optimization (WAO) offering presented at re:Invent in 2025.

Most recently, John established the Construction Supply Chain Category for North America fulfillment where he developed strategic and horizontal support functions for execution partners, managed contractor and supplier relationship across fulfillment business units, and drove supply chain excellence to support ambitious company goals.

John lives in Signal Mountain, Tennessee with his wife, Caroline, and their two children, Ford and Elle. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee’s Tickle College of Engineering (BSCE ‘11) with concentrations in Fluid Dynamics and Structural Analysis & Design and a Masters in Business Administration from Audencia Ecole de Management.
